The Northwest Perinatal Quality Collaborative website was designed to serve as a central resource hub for expectant parents, new families, healthcare providers, and community organizations throughout Northern Michigan. Working through Flight Path Creative, I led the user experience design, information architecture, wireframing, and visual design of the platform. The primary challenge was creating a website that could support multiple audiences with distinct goals while maintaining a welcoming, family-focused experience that encourages engagement and exploration.
My design approach focused on creating clear pathways for users to quickly identify content relevant to their needs. Through thoughtful information architecture and content organization, I developed a structure that distinguishes family resources from provider-focused information without creating unnecessary complexity. The homepage uses strategic visual hierarchy, color, and content grouping to guide users toward key resources, events, educational materials, and data-driven tools. This approach ensures visitors can confidently navigate the site regardless of their familiarity with perinatal health services.
Visually, I wanted the website to feel supportive, approachable, and distinctly family-centered. Drawing inspiration from childhood crafts and keepsakes, I developed a creative design system featuring tape elements, stickers, hand-drawn graphics, textured paper backgrounds, and layered photography treatments. These details evoke the feeling of a family scrapbook while reinforcing themes of care, connection, and community. Designed entirely in Figma, the project showcases my ability to translate complex organizational requirements into an intuitive, visually engaging digital experience that balances accessibility, usability, and emotional connection.
